Diabetes Prevention Control Program Update
Michigan Diabetes Awareness Month
David Law is the 2015 winner of the Sally Joy Leadership Award for his exceptional leadership in advocating for the needs of his community. David uses the social determinants of health as his mantra to focus on addressing root causes of problems, looking to meet the multiple needs of people versus the silo focus of touching incompletely only one aspect. His patients and community members thrive and draw others to build the community and to participate in the vision for improved health and life for all.

This award, presented jointly by the Michigan Diabetes Partners in Action Coalition (DPAC) and the American Diabetes Association, is given annually to those demonstrating passion for diabetes care and prevention. David received this award on November 12th at a Michigan Capitol event recognizing National Diabetes Month, which is November. Congratulations to David from the DPAC leadership and membership.
