Hospital or health department based Diabetes Self-Management Education programs across the state are certified by the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) for Medicaid purposes. The certification only comes when the program shows it meets quality requirements. Programs can accept Medicaid when MDCH certified (but they take other insurances, too).
